Public Forum on College of Marin Foundation
Kentfield, CA—April 5, 2013—On April 1, 2013, a public forum was held to discuss the findings of an audit of the College of Marin Foundation. The Foundation was incorporated in 1964 as a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation for the purpose of raising scholarships for students. For many years foundation funds were used for scholarships, and some special projects and innovative programs. In September of 2012, nine College of Marin Foundation board members said they would step down, leaving College of Marin Superintendent/President David Wain Coon and COM board President Diana Conti to oversee the foundation and the investigations.
