About me
After a discovery of my Deafness at birth, my mother introduced me to my first and the language that I love to teach today! I hired my first ASL interpreter in 5th grade and used ASL interpreters until I graduated from high school. My alma mater is the one and only college for the Deaf, Gallaudet University, where I received B.A. in Biology. I used ASL interpreters again in pharmacy school. The interpreters and I would meet weekly to review and make up new technical signs for pharmacy-related vocabulary. I received a degree in Doctor of Pharmacy. My goal is to use my medical and language background to teach health professionals to work with the Deaf. I hope to meet some future interpreters in my class and bring the magic of ASL to others!

My Philosophy
My philosophy is to provide guidance to students in meeting their fullest potential by providing a safe environment, supporting risk-taking process, and inviting idea-sharing. Student success is as important to me as it is to the student. It is a two-way street. Student success is as important to me as it is to the student. It is a two-way street. In addition, my goal is to make learning ASL as enjoyable as it is for me to teach it!
