The Ceramics Gallery
The Ceramics Program at the College of Marin offers a diverse curriculum
in all aspects of traditional and contemporary ceramics. The San Francisco
Bay Area has been central in the development of Ceramics as a fine art form
and the College of Marin has long been recognized as an active contributor
to generations of emerging artists. The facility is extremely well equipped
and rivals or exceeds that of most university programs. Four class sessions
are available in the credit program with one community education class.
A directed study program is available for advanced students.
The four students represented by these slides are from the directed study
program. Each has developed a style that is distinctive to the individual.
The techniques chosen by this group represent the sculptural low fire realm
of the ceramic process.
