What's the Interest in Ring Mountain?

While the panoramic views and pastoral setting alone justify a visit, much of what Ring Mountain has to offer is invisible to the eyes of the uninformed visitor.

Knowledge of its unique geology, its unique biology, its human history, even knowledge of the current land-use issues affecting housing built at its fill-covered base or proposed for similar slopes of the Tiburon Ridge, can all enhance our visit to the site immeasurably, even a visit taken in cyberspace.

Next: Take a hike up Ring Mountain.
