The Chicken Ranch Beach Locality

The cliffs to the northwest of the beach here are accessible only at low tides but show remnants of interbedded schists and quartzites. These rocks are folded and cut by quartz-rich intrusions from the Kgr.

Note: This area is somewhat contentious with the coastal landowners so please be courteous and respectful of their property and privacy. It is this author's understanding that the area between high and low tide is within the public domain (E.P.A. reference).
