ACCELERATED TRANSFER PROGRAM
The College of Marin Counseling Department, Transfer/Career Center and the COM Foundation have created the Accelerated Transfer Program to promote transfer to the university in an efficient and timely manner.
Program Information:
- Individual advisement
- Assistance with the identification of and preparation for a major
- Activities designed to ensure your success at COM and the transfer institution
- College/university representative appointments
- Guaranteed admission programs as an upper division transfer students
- Cross enrollment opportunities
- Promote peer collaboration & learning with other transfer students
- Earn $500 scholarship
PROGRAM SELECTION CRITERIA: Students must meet all criteria to participate
- Marin County High School Graduate during July 2010 – June 2011 year, or equivalent
- First time freshman to COM (never attended other community college or university) eligible for transfer by Fall 2014
- Will complete a minimum of 12 units at COM by end of Spring 2012
- Have a minimum 3.0 gpa or higher
- Must be an Associate degree seeking student
- Submit official high school transcript
PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS:
- Meet with a counselor twice a semester and have an updated educational plan on file
- Maintain an overall 3.0 gpa or higher
- Complete a minimum of 24 units per academic year (including summer session)
- File a transfer admission application for Fall 2012, Spring 2013 or Fall 2013
- Must attend ALL ATP Information sessions
- Attend one Transfer/Career Center activity/event and complete an assignment each
semester
- Complete last 12 units at COM at time of transfer
ATP Award of $500 will be assigned after proof of admission offer and registration at the transfer university.
Applications will be available November 2011 at the Transfer/Career Center-Student Services Room 202
