| Student Services Planning Committee
ChargeThe Student Services Committee operates as a subcommittee of the Planning Committee to ensure a strategic use of data in the allocation of resources and/or program changes. The committee will ensure that the planning process and the planning document developed for Student Services represents information contained in the Student Services Program Reviews. It will also ensure that the planning and resources request and allocations efforts support the goals and projected outcomes of the College and the District.
Responsibilities
- The Student Services Committee will develop plans to:
- Identify at-risk groups of students at COM
- Improve transfer rate to UC and CSU
- Reduce drop-out rate for at-risk population
- Support International students
- Increase retention, completion rate, student success and satisfaction
- Complete and distribute Program Review for all Student Services entities.
- Coordinate student services to meet the academic and student learning needs of a diverse student body.
- Establish appropriate timelines to complete tasks and make recommendations.
Composition
- 2 faculty appointed by the Academic Senate
- 2 classified staff appointed by the CSEA/SEIU Joint Committee
- 2 students appointed by the Student Senate
- 2 administrators appointed by the Superintendent/President
- The Chair or Co-Chairs will be elected from the group.
