College Council

ChargeThe primary charge of the College Council is to be a vehicle for communication among constiuent groups.

Responsibilities

The College Council will serve as:

Advisory group to the Superintendent/President for Board Policies and Procedures and College goals, plans and priorities
Clearinghouse for information Establish appropriate timelines to complete tasks and make recommendations.

College Council members will disseminate information to their respective constituencies. The College Council will review the Board of Trustees Agenda.

Composition

3 faculty appointed by the Academic Senate
3 classified staff appointed by the CSEA/SEIU Joint Committee one of whom shall be the Classified Senate President.
3 students appointed by the Student Senate
2 managers appointed by the Superintendent/President
The College Superintendent/President will serve as Chair.

College of Marin is fully accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. College of Marin serves approximately 9000 credit and noncredit students each spring and fall semester.
