COURT REPORTING
Arrangement must be made for the rental or purchase of a shorthand machine
at the student's expense prior to the first class meeting. Acquisition of
a machine will be discussed at the orientation meeting listed below.
Directed study courses are offered at the IVC campus.

In order for a person to qualify from a school to take the state licensing
examination, the person shall complete a program at a recognized school.

Goal: 75 wam on two-minute "Mandatory, Brief, and Phrase" tests and three-
minute Literary material with at least 90% accuracy, complete stenotype
theory; develop stenotype machine dexterity, and the ability to read and
