EMERGENCY NOTIFICATION SYSTEM - TEXT MESSAGES TO YOUR PHONE

Want to be notified immediately of campus closures and emergencies?

Marin Community College District Police Department, with sponsorship from alertu.org,  is currently rolling out the AlertU emergency SMS messaging platform to enhance our current communication services during crisis situations. AlertU will allow us to broadcast critical information, in real time, to the mobile devices (cell phones, etc) of all employees and the student body. This is particularly important for those who may be in, or near, a crisis zone.

To sign up, go to www.alertu.org/mccd and follow the directions.

Contacting Police

In an emergency, dial 9-1-1.

For "in-progress" or urgent calls, call dispatch at 485-9696. You should program this number in your cell phone NOW in case of an emergency on campus!

There is an officer on-duty 24hours a day. Officers may be on patrol and not in the office at all times. Please call to confirm personnel will be in the office to assist you. If no one is in the office when you arrive, call the police dispatch number 485-9696 to determine the estimated time to return.

A note to patch collectors:
We get an enormous amount of requests for police patches. We unfortunately do not have a supply of patches to give out, nor an officer who collects or trades patches. Sorry, but we do not respond to patch requests. Thank you.
