Board Policy/Administrative Procedure Revision Project UpdateThe college is continuing to review and update Board Policies and Administrative Procedures. Administrators and members of the College Council’s Board Policy & Procedure Task Force are working with Dr. Jane Wright of the Community College League of California (CCLC) to ensure all revised policies and procedures reflect college practice and comply with current laws and regulations. CCLC along with legal counsel from the Law Firm of Liebert Cassidy Whitmore has provided recommended language for policies and procedures that is used by community colleges throughout the state. We are also renumbering our policies and procedures to align with the CCLC system so that updates can be easily addressed in the future. After review and recommendation from College Council, the Board Policies listed below were adopted at the March 17 Board of Trustees meeting. The Administrative Procedures were approved at the February 12, 2009, College Council meeting. Board Policies are recommended to the Board of Trustees for adoption. Administrative Procedures are recommended by College Council to the President for approval and go to the Board of Trustees as Information Items. The following new and revised Board Policies and Administrative Procedures are posted on the Board Policy Web Page at . The policies and procedures on Emergency Preparedness, Reporting of Crimes, Information Technology and Bicycles, Skateboards etc. are of particular interest to all employees. Please review these policies and procedures at your earliest convenience.
