New DSPS Specialist grew up in the program -- it's a family affair

Shiloh Cokinos   There's a new face in the Disabled Students office these days, but he's been there before.

Shiloh Cokinos is the new DSPS Specialist, serving as all-around troubleshooter with multiple responsibilities.

"I've been involved in the Disabled Students Program since I was a youngster," says Shiloh, whose mom Carol is a counselor who does neurofeedback work for the program. When Shiloh was a boy, he often visited the Adaptive P.E. classes, where Carol was then an instructional assistant.

A brother, a cousin and an aunt also have worked in Adaptive P.E., and another brother, Ben Ceraso, works in the Personnel office, in a job that Shiloh once performed during a previous stint at College of Marin.

Shiloh, a strapping lad of 21, majored in drama at College of Marin, and has appeared on several episodes of "Nash Bridges" and in an AT&T commercial.

The delight of his life, however, is his first son, Dante James, born September 1.
