For All Students

A.    You must be enrolled by a Math Lab instructor (or Instructional Specialist) before you can take any test or final exam. This includes students on “IP’s”.

B.    Tests can be started any time before the last 60 minutes of any continuous period for which the Math Lab is open. Try to allow enough time for you to take your test, have it graded, and know your result before you leave. Note: we will not stay beyond closing time to grade tests!

C.    You must score at least 80% on your lesson test before you can take a test on the next lesson.

D.    You may not repeat a test on a failed lesson on the same day that you failed it (except in Summer).

E.    You must show your homework and sample test to a staff member before you can take any test.

F.    Lesson tests will not be given after the last day of classes.

G.   You must complete all appropriate lessons before you take the final exam.

H.    If you cannot finish one module in one semester, there are three things you must do to qualify for an “IP” (In Progress) grade:

1) be current in your hours (e.g. average 11 hours/week logged in from the time you started 95A in Summer)

2) pass two tests on different lessons, and

3) make a written contract with your instructor before the last day of class.

I.. If you no longer wish to be in this class, you are responsible for submitting a DROP CARD to the Office of Admissions and Records by the appropriate deadline.

J. If no test has been attempted by midterms or no effort has been made to justify non-attempt, you may be withdrawn at midterm by the instructor.

K. No new adds may be made after the 12th week of instruction.

L.  If you have any questions regarding the operating procedures of this course, please ask your instructor.

2. Students Wishing to take both modules (A and B, or X and Y) in one semester:

We strongly discourage this. Should you decide to do so anyway, please see When to Drop

3.  For Students with IPsa) You must re-enroll in the course, paying any applicable fees.
b) You must average the usual number of hours (e.g. 4 per week for 95A in Fall), counted not from the day you start, but from the first day of the semester!

4. For Students with INCs

Please see the requirements on the back side of the white Incomplete Requirement form. You will continue to log in your hours on the computer, but you do not re-enroll in the course as you did with your IP.

5. Calculator Policy

Calculators may not be used on any test or the final exam, with the following exceptions:

--Math 103 X/Y: Calculators may be used on and after lesson 18.

MathLab Schedule--Spring 2007

You may log hours at either campus, but tests are usually taken only at the campus at which you enrolled. To take a test at the other campus, you will need a signed permission slip from your "home" campus. For instance, if you originally enrolled in Kentfield, for each test you take at IVC you must first come in to the Kentfield Mathlab for a special permission form. This is necessary for our own records.
