Saving
files in .rtf format can save time and
headaches!
These problems are common and they occur because the word processing programs we have at home often do not match the word processing programs at school or at the office. So, to avoid these problems, simply save your work in a format that most computers understand—the .rtf format. Here’s how:
1. When you are ready to save your file, click on the “Save As” command.
2. Save the file on the floppy drive by selecting the proper drive name (usually the A:// drive on most computers for the floppy disk.)
3. Give the file a unique name, like “argument”
4. Choose the .rtf format by clicking on .rtf in the “Save as Type” box.
5. Click on Save.
