Procedures & Department Policy for the Writing Center (LC110)
and the Computer Writing Classroom (BC 101)
Win Cottle & Ingrid Schreck will be coordinating BC 101, LC
110 and the Online Writing Center this semester in order to help keep
the rooms up-to-date and service to students running smoothly. We are
working on several projects toward this end. The following outline is a
list of tasks that we hope to complete by the end of the semester.
Please contact Win or Ingrid if you have other requests, suggestions or
concerns. We request feedback on these items from all staff in BC
101/LC110; please e-mail: Win.Cottle@marin.edu
with suggestions and requests.
- We have created Inventory Sheets to help keep track of the amount
of paper, ink, and supplies we use in BC 101 and in LC 110.
- When you replenish these items, we request that you please make a
note of it on the Inventory Sheets which will be placed in a binder in
LC 110 and near the teacher station in BC 101.
- We have also created a Problem Log for computer problems
that need to be reported to email@example.com.
The Problem Log will be in the same binder as the Inventory Sheets. We
would like to also request that if you are working in LC 110 or BC 101
and notice a computer problem, to please note it in the Problem Log,
and if you have time, report it to firstname.lastname@example.org,extension
- We have purchased flash drives for both BC 101 & LC 110 for
instructor and student use. Please do not take them from these roomes,
but feel free to use them when needed. They flash drives are kept in
the lock boxes in each room. For the combination to open the lock box,
please contact the department secretary.
