Creating a WebCT Course

How to Start -- 3 simple Steps

1. If you would like to begin designing a course, please send your e-mail request for a designer username and password to: web.ct@marin.edu

• include your name, section  # and class title in your e-mail request.
  

2. After you receive your username and password via e-mail (usually within 48 hours), visit: cvc.webct.com (please note that an instructor’s username and password configuration is different than a student’s configuration)

3. Enter your username and password to access your course.

• More information about the CVC WebCT servers and orientations for your students can be found at: http://www.cvc2.org/webct/orientations.htm
  

• You should also visit: www.webct.com/faculty for ideas, help and ready-to-use content (quizzes, supplemental materials for a textbook, etc.) for your WebCT course.

• If you have worked on a course in a FLEX Workshop and would like to continue developing that course, please visit: http://www.cvc2.org/webct/faculty/course_prep.htm for instructions on how to transfer your FLEX course to the new server.
