The course objectives and methods of instruction
need to be updated to reflect the current pedogogical research that indicates
collaborative learning, reading instruction, witing in context, error
identification in context, sentence combining activities, inquiry based
learning, audience analysis, and understanding of purpose and tone contribute
to improvement of reading and writing skills.
