** - Clinical Externship – prerequisite: For the Administrative and Clinical Certificate

Option, MEDA 135, 135L, 110, 110L and 120 or 121. For the Clinical Certificate Option,

MEDA 135, 135L, and 120 or 121. For the Administrative Certificate option, MEDA 110,

110L and 120 or 121 must be completed.

Students need to have the following health clearance before taking Clinical Externship class:

First Aid certificate, BLS/CPR, Physical Examination, and the following immunizations:

Tuberculin(PPD, 2 times), Diphtheria and Tetanus(D.T.), Measles, Mumps and Rubella(MMR, 2 times),

or Rubeola Titer, Rubella Titer, Mumps Titer; Varicella Zoster(2 times), or Varicella Zoster Titer;

Hepatitis B (3 times) or Titer.

The College of Marin Student Health Centers (KTD Dickson Hall Room 118, 415-485-9458)

and IVC Adminstrative Services Room 121(415-883-2211) provide physical exams and immunizations

for currently registered students. Check with the instructor where and when to get First Aid, BLS/CPR etc.

*** - Student should select three units of Computer courses from the following lists:

BOS 44 (1 unit), CIS 110 (3 units), CIS 116 (1-1/2 units), CIS 117 (1-1/2 units),

CIS 118 (1-1/2 units), CIS 126 (1-1/2 units)

**** - Student should select one and one-half units of Computer courses from the following lists:

BOS 44 (1 unit), BOS 120 (1 unit), CIS 110 (3 units), CIS 116 (1-1/2 units),

CIS 117 (1-1/2 units), CIS 118(1-1/2 units), CIS 126(1-1/2 units), MEDA 126 (2 units),

MEDA 126L (1/2 unit)

Please also note that it is to the students' advantage to take MEDA 110, 110L, 125, 125L and have some

personal computer knowledge before taking MEDA 126 and 126L. Also, students need to have basic

math background to take MEDA 150.

Suggested Course Sequence

The following is a suggested sequence of classes for the “Administrative & Clinical” option based upon entrance
into the Fall semester. Students entering in the Spring semester, those who are planning on attending classes for
more than 1 year, or those students pursuing different certificate options should meet with a counselor to discuss
scheduling needs.
