Background Screening Information

Health Sciences students will need to obtain a Criminal Background Screening as required by clinical agencies prior to registering for Meda 141 and Meda 141L.

1. To obtain this clearance you need to:

Visit the following website: www.verifystudents.com
Click on: “Start Here”.
When prompted, enter the code: MARINPHL (this is case sensitive and must be all capitals)
Then follow directions for completing the forms and payment.
The cost is $50.00 and will be charged at the same time as you submit your form.

This must be completed prior to being cleared for registration for Meda 141 and Meda 141L.

* If you have any difficulty or questions regarding the processing of your online background check please contact: Customer Service Department at Corporate Screening at: 800.229.8606.
* Students must have a Background Screening Clearance to go into the clinical setting.

2. Additionally - Due before the first class session:

Download the Meda Background Screening Authorization - Spring 2010 (97.5 Kb PDF), sign it and submit it to the College of Marin Health Science Department, 835 College Avenue, Kentfield, CA 94945

This must be submitted prior to being cleared for registration for Meda 141 and Meda 141L.
