Action Step 2.3.2 Action Step 2.3.2 2.3.2. Identify specific strategies to promote student retention in student services program reviews. (Student Learning) --------------------------------------A workgroup was formed in January 2011 to develop an integrated plan combining the matriculation, basic skills initiative, and the student equity plans to create a Student Access and Success Initiative. Student Success is a partnership between Instruction and Student Services with critical support from IT. Therefore, the group includes representatives from these areas; also included are student representatives. A work plan around the basic components of matriculation has been drafted and will continue to be fleshed out in 2011-12. Student Equity indicators will be included to measure student success, and recommendations from the 2011 COM Basic Skills Report will be integrated. Initial budget requests to support the various aspects of the Student Success Initiative have been submitted to the Planning and Resource Allocations Committee (PRAC). All have been endorsed and recommended for funding by the committee. In the future, this work group will inform the Student Access and Success Committee, the formal governance committee reporting to PRAC. -------------------------------------------- Student Services SLO Assessment Cycle Student Services SLO Website for more updated details
