Trustee Barbara Dolan

Barbara Dolan attended the University of Washington and graduated from the University of Alaska with a bachelor’s degree in Education. She has a Lifetime Teaching Credential. She earned a graduate degree in Library Science from the University of San Francisco and taught at Dixie, Wade Thomas Elementary, Anthony G. Bacich Elementary, and A. E. Kent Middle schools. Dolan graduated from the College of Marin Environmental Forum, is an ex-board member of the Marin United Taxpayers Association and served as president of the Marin Coalition for three years. First elected in 1985, she has served 24 years on the College of Marin Board of Trustees. Her current term expires in 2013.

College of Marin is one of 112 public community colleges in California and is fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. Approximately 10,000 credit and noncredit students enroll each fall and spring semester. Classes also are offered during the summer.
