STUDENT SUCCESS ORIENTATION FOR STUDENTS NEW TO COLLEGE

English Orientation and Testing

1. Fill out the Admission Application first.   

IMPORTANT NOTE: Applying to the College is the only way to get the required Student Identification Number necessary to register for English Placement Testing.  It will take a few days or so to get your Student ID M00#, so please plan ahead.

2. Schedule and complete the College of Marin Math and English Placement Testing. 

The testing schedule is posted on the Testing Center door, Student Services Bldg. Room 238, or here.
Sample Test Questions can be found at the Accuplacer web site. You may also call the Testing Office at 415.485.9469.

3. Register for a New Student Orientation (see below).

4. Arrange a meeting with a counselor.

IMPORTANT: Please indicate that you are a new student and have completed the orientation and testing.

Call 415.485.9432 or go to Kentfield, Counseling Services, SS 211 or 210.
