COM Expands Late Afternoon Classes for Spring Semester

Kentfield, CA—December 16, 2010—Starting this spring semester College of Marin is launching a robust sequence of late afternoon credit classes designed to provide additional opportunities for students to complete the requirements for transfer to the University of California and California State University systems.

Classes are scheduled Monday through Thursday afternoons from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. and include: Art, Sign Language, Chinese Mandarin, Reading and Composition, French, Italian, Japanese, Spanish, American Political Institutions, Ethics, Psychology, and Introduction to Speech Communication among others. Spring semester classes begin Jan. 22, 2011. Students are encouraged to register early to ensure their first choice of classes.

College of Marin offices will be closed for the holidays from Dec. 23 to Jan. 2. Students may apply and register online for classes during the holidays at

The fully accredited College of Marin has been providing high quality educational opportunities for students of all ages since 1926. In fall 2010, 7,789 students enrolled in credit classes. A total of 9,598 credit, noncredit and community education students enrolled at College of Marin in fall 2010. The main campus is located at 835 College Ave., Kentfield, CA, and the Indian Valley Campus is located at 1800 Ignacio Blvd., Novato, CA.
