College of Marin Trustees Are Sworn In

Newest Member Diana Conti Will Serve As Clerk

KENTFIELD, Calif.— December 9, 2009 —Last night at the monthly meeting of the College of Marin Board of Trustees three board members were sworn in, including two incumbents, Wanden Treanor and Barbara Dolan; and one new member, Diana M. Conti. Conti won the seat that was formerly held by Annan Paterson in the November 2009 general election.

The board also nominated new executive officers last night. Eva Long, Ph.D., will serve as president replacing Philip Kranenburg. James Namnath, Ph.D., will serve as vice president and Diana Conti will serve as clerk.

Outgoing Board President Kranenburg congratulated reelected members and welcomed the board’s newest member.

Conti brings with her a wealth of nonprofit and board experience to the board. She currently serves as executive director of Parca, an organization located in Burlingame, CA, serving people with developmental disabilities and their families. In addition, she chairs Thrive, The Alliance of Nonprofits for San Mateo County, and is the Founding President of West Bay Housing Development Corporation (housing for people with special needs). Last year she was elected to the Executive Board of the American Public Health Association.
