College of Marin to Host a Job Fair

The College of Marin (COM) Job Placement Center and the California Employment Development Department (EDD) are hosting a Spring Job Fair on Wednesday, May 6, 2009 from ll a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Kentfield Campus, 835 College Ave., in the Student Services Building located near parking lot 7. This event is open to the public and is free of charge.

A variety of employers from the Bay Area will be available at the event to answer questions and accept resumes.

The COM Job Placement Center establishes and maintains contacts with businesses in the community to provide students with job leads and internships in various fields. Assistance is available to current students, as well as COM alumni of any age, and community members. The Job Placement Center is located at the Kentfield Campus in the Student Services Center, Room 206. For more information about the Job Fair, please contact Carol Perez at 485-9410.

College of Marin is one of 112 public community colleges in California and is fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. Approximately 10,000 credit and noncredit students enroll each fall and spring semester. Classes also are offered during the summer.
