COM Board Approves Revised Bond Spending Plan

Kentfield, CA—January 19, 2010—College of Marin Trustees approved an updated bond spending plan at their January 19 monthly meeting. The plan includes a new Academic Center that will be located at the corner of Sir Francis Drake Boulevard and College Avenue. The new center will house classrooms, a new auditorium, faculty and staff offices, and will replace Olney Hall, Harlan Center, the Administrative Center, the Business Center, and the taqueria. The next step in the process will be for the board to choose an architectural firm to design the project.

College of Marin is one of 112 public community colleges in California and is fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. Approximately 10,000 credit and noncredit students enroll each fall and spring semester. Classes also are offered during the summer.
