Citizen’s Oversight Committeee As provided in Education Code Section 15278, a Citizens’ Oversight Committee was formed by the Community College District’s Board of Trustees on February 8, 2005. The committee is composed of members that represent student government, the business community, a senior citizen organization, taxpayer association, college support organizations and the community at large. The role of the committee is to inform the public concerning the District’s expenditure of revenues received from the sale of bonds authorized by the voters in the November 2004 general election. Members New members are appointed by the College of Marin Board of Trustees annually. Oversight committee members cannot be employees, officials, vendors, consultants, or contractors of the College of Marin. Members represent the community at large, a bona-fide taxpayer’s association, a student enrolled and active in a community college support group, a member of a senior citizens’ organization, a member active in a business organization representing the business community located in the district, a member representing the community at large, and a member active in a college support organization.Agenda & Meeting Minutes
