The current Fine Arts Building at Kentfield will be renovated and renamed as the Performing Arts Building. The facility will undergo upgrades to the theater and lobby, classrooms, offices and music studios. New dance studios and an art gallery/lecture hall are also part of the modernization. Roofs and walls will be repaired and outdated equipment will be replaced. Technology and accessibility will be updated and efficient air circulation systems will be installed. Further, the college plans to improve the exterior appearance of the building as well as the entrance plaza using native and drought-resistant plants. The use of sustainable building practices is concomitant with submission for LEED® Certification. Construction will follow completion of the new Fine Arts Building.
