Apply and Register

When to Apply

Fall 2013: August 20 – December 6, 2013
Completed application will be accepted MARCH through JULY 15 of each year.

Spring 2014: January 21, 2014 – May 16, 2014
Completed application will be accepted SEPTEMBER through NOVEMBER 15 of each year.

How to Apply

Easy Application Steps

Step 1
Print the electronic Intensive English Program Application Form (PDF)

Step 2
All students fill out and sign the Official Certification of Personal or Family Money Form (PDF)

Step 3 (For Transfer Students Only)
If you are a transfer student, give the Transfer Form (PDF) or (Word document) to your current institution and send the Intensive English Program Application Form (Step 1), Official Certification of Personal or Family Money Form (Step 2), and Transfer Form (Step 3) with a check for US$50 or US$100* to:

Step 4 (For All Other New Students)
All other students need to send in the completed forms (Steps 1 and 2), with a check for US$50 or US$100* to:

Step 5
For international students living overseas, after we have received your application materials, we will issue an I-20 for you to take to your appointment for the F-1 visa. If you need help with your visa, please contact the EducationUSA center nearest you for assistance.

Step 6
Students should contact Sara Oser, IEP Program coordinator (415.457.8811 ext. 8579), to determine the appropriate schedule before registering for hours. With the coordinator the student should decide the session, courses,  and number of hours they want and write the corresponding CRN on the registration form. Course level is determined by testing and prior English study.

*Application fee is non-refundable/non-transferrable: $50.00 for one semester or $100.00 for two semesters.

Conditional Admissions Agreement

Intensive English Program (IEP) Matriculating To International Student Credit Program

Students who have successfully completed the Intensive English Program (IEP) at the College of Marin will be admitted to the International Student Credit Program and be granted a waiver of the TOEFL Exam. Students will also be granted a waiver of the $50.00 Application Processing Fee. All other conditions for admissions to the International Student Credit Program must be met. They are as follows:

  • Completion of an International Student Credit Admissions Application.
  • Verification of adequate financial support by completing the Official Certification of Personal or Family Money form. Required amount of financial support vary by academic year.
  • Complete all transfer documentation as required through SEVIS.
