Access Requirements

This course is self-paced. No on-campus visits are required.

There are no required textbooks for this class. All the needed materials will be accessed through the course web site or supplemental, related web sites.

Course organization

The course is self-paced and organized into 6 TOPICS. Plan on spending about 15-20 hours total on the course materials.

First Day of Class Instructions

All enrolled students are required to contact the instructor at James Gonzalez at, during the first week of class to hold their spot in the class. Registered student who do not check in with the instructor during this period, can lose his or her spot to a student on the waitlist.

Waitlist & Add Codes

If you are on the waitlist or attempting to add the course, email the instructor, James Gonzalez as soon as possible to indicate your desire to take the course and to receive course access and start up information.

Please include your name, the section number of the class you wish to add, and your COM Student ID (if you have one) in your email. I do honor the official waitlist, adding students in the order they appear on the waitlist. Students are added in the order they appear on the wait list, as spots open up. Because enrolled students have the first week to check in, most spots do not open up until week 2 of the course, so be patient. Don't worry, the first week of class is mostly occupied by housekeeping tasks.
