About me
Since 1997 I have worked at College of Marin-Indian Valley Campus in various capacities. My first position at the college was working in Admissions and Records, and I now divide my time between the
Child Development
and Intensive English Programs, keeping both running smoothly. For the past five years I've been part of the Intensive English Program, where I enjoy helping students reach their academic goals on our beautiful campus. The fresh air and beautiful scenery here are what I like most at the campus.
There's always a lot to do at the IEP. Before the semester starts, I make sure the student handbook, schedule, orientation and testing materials are ready for the first week. At this time I also check that the classrooms, break room, and lounge area are set up properly for student use. When students decide the courses they want to take, I give them course reference and authorization numbers so that registration is easy. During the semester I assist students in finding doctors online with their insurance program, and I can call the Health Center at the Kentfield campus to set up appointments with the doctor or nurse. In addition, I create flyers for field trips, parties, and testing and distribute them in hard copy and electronically to all IEP students. At the end of the semester, I print out the evaluations and certificates for the graduation party. I enjoy working with the international mix of students at our new location on the IVC campus. You can reach me by phone (415.457.8811 ext. 8578), email (linda.fahy@marin.edu), or stop by my office in Building 3.
interest areas
I enjoy exploring Northern California, cooking with our local bounty, and watching the San Francisco Giants baseball team. My family includes a wonderful husband and daughter as well as various pets.
